Community enterprise- Velur
(Brick kiln)

There are 12 groups in Velur village in Minjur block. Six of these groups, all dalits, have joined in starting a Brick kiln . In all 25 persons are involved including 19 members in the venture. They start the work at 6.30 in the morning and work up to 6 pm. In a day each member make 1300 to 1500 bricks.
