SHG members training on primary health All group members undergo four modules of training in two days on primary health. The training enhances the health knowledge of the community in personal hygiene, environmental sanitation, human anatomy, reproductive health, control of communicable diseases including HIV/AIDS and treatment of minor ailments using local herbs. Adolescent girls/ boys training Adolescent girls in the age group of 13-20 are provided basic health-care training using two day modules. There has been good feedback on the impact of this training. Similar to girls, boys of the same age group are also offered training , but there is not much of response. CRUSADE regularly organizes special health camps for eye, dental & diabetes problems. Emergency treatment at village level is provided for epidemics. For example, CRUSADE organized treatment camps when Chikungunya disease spread in the project areas. |
