Although the Association of women groups(PPK) has been registered and started functioning independently, there is need for strengthening the new institution and to ensure the formalities associated with any registered institution are adhered to for sustainability. Capacity building of office bearers and the executive committee of the Trust and assisting them managing their finances is needed for a few years. The Trust also needs staff support initially to develop the fledgling Institution.

Despite positive developments in economic, social and educational spheres,the poor living conditions and low levels of health and nutrition of these communities continue to cause concern and demand remedial measures in the next few years. CRUSADE would like to address this perplexing problems in the near future which will complete the process of development initiatives of CRUSADE.

There has been steep rise in construction materials and labor cost making decent housing unaffordable to the target community. Considering around 80% of women group members live in thatch houses, CRUSADE would like to address this need in the years to come. CRUSADE floated a non-profit company to sustain the activity. In order to reduce the cost of construction , the project will propagate low cost construction technologies, solar lighting, etc.

Promoting Local Self Governance through democratically elected Panchayats is another major area CRUSADE would like to work with in the near future. To lobby for changes needed in Tamil Nadu Panchayat Act and capacity building of elected leaders to plan and implement schemes for economic development & social justice are the twin objectives to be achieved by strengthening Panchayat Institutions.
