Action Rural Housing

Action Rural Housing (ARH) was incorporated as a non profit company under sction 25 of Companies Act 1956. The main object of the company is to promote hygienic and healthy living of the people in rural communities through proper housing.This not-for profit company was incorporated in October, 2005 and commenced business in February, 2006. 150 SHG group animators are share holders of the company.

During 2007 - 09, 32 members have been assisted with loans ranging from Rs 20,000 to Rs 75,000. Of these 6 belong to dalit community and one from Tribal community. Including loan installment released for beneficiaries of the previous year, financial assistance of Rs 16,10,000 was provided. So far there has been no problem with repayment . Two have foreclosed the loans by paying the whole amount It is noteworthy that several of unfinished houses of members were completed due to ARH assistance. Considering that there is steep increase in construction cost recently, there is a need for increasing the loan amount in order to enable the borrowers to finish the work.
